Our Holiday....was wonderful! It was spent with all of our loved ones. I don't think I could have asked for more.
My parents have been divorced for quite some time now and I had asked them both if it were OK to plan a family Christmas party involving both of them and there spouses, they all agreed! I was so nervous for how it would turn out but it was great, better than I expected and I now have some new memories that I will cherish. We had a family favorite...Green Chile (my sister made it and it was so yummy!) along with some other yummy dishes. We opened presents and sang to my dear step-mom.She loved it and so did we. We sang almost all the Christmas songs in the hymnal and some more traditional ones as well and silly me I cried through all of it(so did Carol(my step mother):)it has always touched my heart so strongly when singing. It has become such a comfort over the years to have those fond memories of us singing together.
One of my favorite things about being a part of the fuller family is all their traditions! I look forward to Christmas with the Fuller's every year. We have a Christmas Eve party where we exchange gag gifts and open new pajamas for Christmas morning. Then Christmas morning we all have breakfast after we have had our own Christmas morning. Then there is lunch and more gifts. We visit while the kids play or fight;) and pretty much just veg out the rest of the day.
The pictures are of my kids playing in the leaf pile at my family party and they got to see Santa :)
